Learjet 85 Expansion

Bombardier Business Aircraft President, Steve Ridolfi announced plans of expansion on the Learjet 85 production facility in Wichita, KS. Approximately 450 jobs are promised to be created with the next 10 years.
$16 million in state financial support will facilitate enlarging the Flight Test center, new paint and production flight test facilities, a new delivery center, and the establishment of a Bombardier Center of Excellence of Engineering and Information Technology.
“This is great news and indicates the strength of our relationship with the State of Kansas,” said Ridolfi. “Learjet has a rich and solid history in Kansas and we are committed to ensuring that it continues to grow and prosper along with new programs such as the Learjet 85 aircraft.”
The Lear 85 was announced in 2007 as a eight passenger composite jet. Deliveries of this aircraft for sale are scheduled for 2013 are still on schedule.
