Cirrus has announced that the new Cirrus SR22 for this year (2012) will be able to accommodate a total of five occupants now with the additional seat. Also new this year is worldwide weather radar coverage and a satellite phone system that will enable voice and text messages during the flight.

Prices of the 2012 Cirrus Sr22 range from $449,000 to $709,000. Compared to the other aircraft for sale on the market, the pricing is competitive to a new Cessna 400.
