1985 Boeing 737• Price: $2,100,000• Airframe Hours: 37863 With it's long range 707 and medium range 727 already in service, Boeing turned it's attention to a new short-range 737 to complement the fleet. The 737 was originally intended to carry only 60 to 85 passengers, however by the time production started, that number was up to 100 or more. There are several 737 series aircraft produced (100 thru 900) all featuring different lengths, improved avionics, larger wings and more efficient engines allowing marked improvements in range.
